Sexarbori sings about the most prominent tree god of the Aquitanii (the linguistic ancestors of today's Basque people). Its name stands for 'The God of the Six Trees', which shows possible worship on sacred groves by native Basques like the Celts did in their Nemetons.

Despite being its name of Latin origin, other tree gods of basque onomastic have been found in the region, such as Areixo, Leheren and Artahe, and also others of Celtic origin as Abellion, which is linguistically related to Avalon of the so-known Arthurian legend.

Sexarbori habla sobre el dios arbóreo más importante de los Aquitanos (antepasados de los vascos, lingüísticamente hablando). Su nombre se traduce del Latín como 'El Dios de los Seis Arboles, lo que contempla un posible culto en arboledas sagradas por nativos vascos al igual que hacían los celtas en sus Nemetones.

Aunque el nombre sea de origen latino, se han encontrado otros dioses arbóreos de onomástica vasca en la misma región, como Areixo, Leheren y Artahe (consideradas de las primeras inscripciones onomásticas de raíz vasca). También se encuentran otros de origen Celta, Abellion por ejemplo, el cual está lingüísticamente conectado con la tan conocida Avalon de la leyenda Artúrica.

Sexarbori Akitanoen (euskaldunon arbasoak, linguistikoki hitz egiten) zuhaitz-jainko nabarmenena da. Honen izenak 'Sei Zuhaitzen Jainkoa' esan nahi du latineraz. Hortaz, pentsa dezakegu geure arbaso euskaldunak zuhaizti sakratuetan gurtu egiten zutela, Zeltak Nemetoietan egiten zuten modu berean.

Erro latindarreko izena izan arren, euskal jatorria duten beste hainbat zuhaitz-jainkoen aztarnak ere aurkitu egin ziren zonalde berean, Areixo (aritza), Leheren (leherra, pinua) edo Artahe (artea) besteak beste. Hortaz aparte, zelteran jatorria duten jainko inskripzioak agertu ziren, Abellion-ren omenez, esate baterako. Abellion sagarrondoaren zuhaitz jainkoa izanda, linguistikoki lotuta dago Arturo erregearen elezaharreko Abalon uhartearekin (Insula avalonis, edo sagarren uhartea).
